THIS WEEKEND - Pet and Doll Parade
Longmont Recreation Services presents the 77th annual Pet and Doll Parade on Saturday, June 16 at 10:00am at Roosevelt Park.This is a free event for children. The parade takesplace on the paved trail around Roosevelt Park. Lineup begins at 9:30. There will be free balloons, hatsand popsicles for all entries. Ride your bike, pull a wagon or lead your dog.This year's theme is "Red, White and Blue", celebrating Longmont as an all-American city.For more info, go to:http://www.ci.longmont.co.us/rec/special/PetDollParade.htm

Most Tuesdays through July - Summer Concerts in the park
"The Longmont Summer Concert in the Park Series is Back! Enjoy a warm summer's evening with family and friends. A unique musical opportunity right in your own backyard. Recreation Services invites you all to attend the 2007 Sounds of Summer Concert in the Park Series. All concerts are free, thanks to the generous support of local community sponsors: Market Street Mortgage, Elevations Credit Union and Guitars Etc. The series is presented by The City of Longmont. Be sure to bring a blanket or chair to sit on and enjoy the music.
