Help celebrate the 25th anniversary of this event by organizing a neighborhood potluck or just hanging out in your lawn chairs in your front yard while your kids scribble with sidewalk chalk. The Longmont Police Department is hosting a National Night Out kickoff event on Saturday, August 2nd from 4 to 6 pm at Lanyon Park. They'll have free food, entertainment and prizes as well as oppotunities to talk with police, fire and emergency services personnel!
