Birthday party locations

My family doesn't really do big birthday bashes for the kids, at least not yet :) I wonder at what age kids start asking for big parties with friends? Anyway, I thought it might be useful to list some ideas for birthday party locations throughout our great city! Note: some might be time of year/weather dependent, of course!

Centennial Pool (indoors)
Longmont Recreation Center (indoors)
An outdoor pool (Sunset, Roosevelt, Kanemoto - all outdoors)
B & C Bouncetown
St Vrain Memorial Building
Reserve a shelter at one of the many parks
Crackpots - Paint your own Pottery Studio
Ed & Ruth Lehman YMCA
The Painted Poppy - make puppets, jewelry, decoupage, and more!
Blissful Family - puppet shows, storytelling, crafts, music
Airborne Gymnastics

Do you have more ideas? Where do you like to have your kids' birthday parties? Who makes the best birthday cakes? Do you know of a great clown or other performer for kids' parties? Leave a comment and share the info with others! :)

We have had our sons' birthday party at the Sunflower farm for the past two years. It was GREAT..

The bowling alley on 9th ave was a great birthday party for my 6 year old and so much more reasonable than many of the other venues. They will include pizza and a cake in the price

We have rented from Front Range Inflatables for our kids. Their staff was great and it is so super easy. We have set up once at home and once at a park. The inflatables are clean and in good condition which was really nice!

Checked out Bouncetown. Wanted to have 6 kids bounce on the weekend. It is set up so that you HAVE to choose a party with the minimum option of $210 for up to 20kids..if you want it on the weekend, but you can do it for 10 kids during the week....scam. They have very limited (only until 2pm on mon, weds, fri) open bounce on weekdays for 8 bucks a kid. What a racket...only open until 2pm on the cheaper more popular days. So you wanna take your kid and his sister to bouncetown this weekend for their birthday...get ready to pay 210 clams for 10 bucks worth of carnival time....or get on the horn and try to find 20 kids that can all bounce to make it worth your while.
